"The truth is that we were looking for a hiking holiday but didn't have enough time to plan. We were expecting to get the maps and booking through your office, but in the end we were surprised at how much more we got!" July '16

"You responded promptly to all requests and were a great help to me in organizing the trip...figuring out where we wanted to go and what dates would work. As usual, the route notes were GREAT! We had no problem whatsoever!" July '16

"The family feeling in Les Contamines was amazing. Sabrina was a fabulous host. Even with poor weather I enjoyed my time here. My absolute favourite part of the holiday was the 'extra loop' option when heading from Les Houches to Chamonix. It was a stunning walk - I had most of the trails to myself. It ended with a perfect check-in at the last hotel! I would go back to Chamonix and the Hotel Aiguille du Midi in a heartbeat!" July '16

"The scenery was spectacular and the walks offered allowed me to select and adapt which was useful. The contrasting hotels were very good- very different but each with their own charm and identity." Aug '15

"The scenery was stunning, the weather perfect.  The food was superb and well recommended by you.  The hospitality and food at the Aiguille du Midi was exceptional - a lovely family run small hotel." Sep '14

"The trip was wonderful.  Exactly the right combination of logistical support and independence for us.  We will likely do your Rhone trip in the spring." Aug '14

"We loved all aspects of the holiday.  We really enjoyed the routes provided and the extra options.  For us coming from Australia we really loved the terrain and the weather was very kind to us" June '14

"The general consensus was that despite the weather spoiling it a little, it was the best yet! I think that had we been luckier with the weather and the late season it would have been perfect, so no suggestions! The routes were easy to follow and the flowers brilliant. When we did have the views (Day 6) they were fantastic. Day 7 we didn't walk ( snow too dangerous) but enjoyed the Aiguille du Midi cable car and the Mer de Glace via the train - good advice from Lizzy re tickets. We enjoyed walking where we've been skiing, seeing the areas as pastures covered in flowers, although the Col du Tricot looking like a black run wasn't so good!" June '13

"Highly efficient, friendly and very helpful On Foot office - and the wonderful Lizzy could not have been more helpful - we greatly enjoyed meeting Lizzy and her sister when invited for drinks at her house. Hazel thinks this is the best walking holiday we've had. I can't think of anything we disliked about it." Sep '12

"Your local contact Lizzy - 200 out of 100 is the only way we can rate her service--she is worth her weight in gold to your company and we found her an absolute treasure." July '12

"Your attention to detail with the walk notes and selection of very comfortable hotels was great. I cannot think of any improvements - everything was great and I am recommending your company to any of my friends who are contemplating walking in the UK. Lizzie Ashley-Cooper was extremely helpful; she met us after our first days walk so we felt that we had a 'contact' if it was needed. She also helped us change the order of the final two days walks so that we could take advantage of the cable car to the Aiguille du Midi." July '11

"On Day 6, as we had our car in Chamonix and Lizzy offered to drive us there in the morning, she gave us notes for a walk above Sallanches: Burzier - Doran - Mayere- Buzier which we thoroughly enjoyed. Day 7 really was spectacular, with ideal weather, and we had our morning coffee in Italy! The Grand Balcon Nord was also another great walk for the views." June '10

"It was exactly what we thought it would be... challenging but beautiful and the directions were spot on. Lizzy called us several mornings to ensure we were okay. One day when it was raining she arranged to pick us up mid-hike and took us to a small village to taste bread from a communal bread oven. She was amazing!" Sep '10

"Trust. That is the operative word here. I have total and absolute trust in On Foot Holidays -- that I am getting what you tell me I am getting. Everything is exactly as described, from charges to level of difficulty. The French Alps holiday is just a breathtaking experience and is always changing for the better..." June '09

"The whole experience from initial enquiry through booking to arrival was seamless. The scenery, tranquility & walking was the BEST" June '10

"The website was so informative and it was so easy to speak with someone to find out details. The staff really sold us on the trip." Aug '10

"The blue booklet was awesome. We even kept ours as a souvenir. We ate at the recommended restaurants and took advantage of all the advice. It was truly our bible during the trip. It was an ideal vacation. We were so happy throughout." July '10

"We enjoyed the feeling of independent walking but knowing that someone would be aware if we didn't turn up that evening. Great to walk the valley and have luggage transported - thank you." July '09

"Lizzie telephoned to be sure we were OK after a thunderstorm and also suggested an alternative walk which turned out to be most enjoyable. Fantastic holiday - would recommend highly to anybody." June '10

"The list of plants at the back of the blue tour guide proved to be very useful - we found most of them.  A fantastic trip - thank you."

"The cheese trolley should not be missed."

"This is a holiday that will be imprinted on my memory for all time. I still marvel at the profusion of wild meadow flowers set against the contrast of snow-capped peaks."
