"Thanks - we had a great holiday and all the arrangements worked like clockwork." June '12
"Thank you for another impeccably organized holiday, we enjoyed our time on the Costiera Amalfitana very much! We probably enjoyed the day with the Sentiero degli Dei the most, it was just the perfect mixture of varied landscapes and fantastic views." June '12
"We have talked to a lot of friends and would 'fly your flag' anytime." Aug '12
"Loved our holiday, thank you so much. Really enjoyed the differences in terrain and the excitement of arriving at new destinations. You delivered an absolutely brilliant holiday and we have recommended you to many friends and members of our family. We'll definitely be back for another trip with On Foot Holidays." Aug 12
"We thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. Virtually everything met or exceeded expectations excluding the weather on the first two days." Sept '12
"We have done long distance walks with five different operators and your company (along with one other) are definitely the nicest to deal with, and with the best track notes and accommodation. We will certainly be happy to recommend your company to anyone, when discussing walking holidays." Oct '12
We had a lovely week walking, were very lucky with the weather as it was hot and sunny nearly every day, and the other 2 were dry and warm. What luxury in October. We really enjoyed the walks - hadn't realised there were so many steps." Oct '12 I am sorry to be so slow to report on our very successful holiday. The walks were perfect, we did the harder options, absolutely stunning, those steps are hard on the legs! Hotels were perfect, all spacious and comfortable beds. One of our group developed a sick bug on day one (from England as her husband had the same at home), she was quite ill by the time we reached Hotel Tramonto but they were so helpful providing her with some medicine. She managed to walk the next day, we all avoided catching it, obviously enough booze to kill all germs. Loved the location of Hotel Pupetto, we swam, rather sore on the feet, had a very amusing time as Annie couldn't get out of the sea because of her blisters and so a very nice Italian thought she was drowning and came to save her! We had some great meals, followed your recommendations on the first 2 nights, in Positano we went to a restaurant Sue had been to before and in Sorrento we found a Michelin recommendation which was excellent. So all in all it was enjoyed by us all, we will definitely be planning a trip same time next year so will look forward to hearing where you recommend we go…" Oct '12

"Faultless service. I cannot recommend you highly enough. Like the self guiding aspect of the holiday. Efficient luggage transfer. Great route planing and optional walk guidance." Oct '12
"Loved the challenge of the walks and the fact that we hardly saw anyone else and and the weather was a bonus too". Oct 12
"Great trip, lovely views, luggage transfers all happened perfectly and the hotels were all very good, with large, clean comfortable rooms and bathrooms." Oct '12

"Hi Mary et al, Just wanted to drop you a wee note to say how much we enjoyed our holiday and to thank you all for your help with the arrangements. We were blessed with good weather apart from one wet morning. What a beautiful coastline, memories of which will stay long in the memory. We loved Amalfi most of all I think - Positano didn't do it for us and we were a little too weary to have a good look around Praiano although we enjoyed Sorrento which for all it's indulgence to tourists, had the feel of a bustling, working town. Oh, I forgot the little jewel that is Ravello! What a start to the holiday that was. We quickly headed left into the hotel at the Villa Cimbrone and had a wonderful chilled glass of the local white whilst feeling thrilled with life, if a little sweaty after all those b****y steps! An eating recommendation in Amalfi would be l'Abside in the Piazza dei Dogi. Marianna, the host, is absolutely first class and we ate there a couple of times. She even went out and bought some gluten free pasta and bread for Sophie. We found the locals so friendly and helpful. I couldn't get over the terraced gardens, beautifully worked vegetable plots, lemon trees, vines and roses. I complimented one old boy on his garden and he went and picked three lemons off a tree for me! The views always made the hard work worth it and we joined up with another couple who had booked through you - Kevin and Judy from Sheffield - which was fun. Sorry if I have bored you with my ramblings but I just wanted to share my thoughts and memories of a wonderful trip. Everything went so smoothly - loved getting the ferry from Salerno to Amalfi; what a lovely start to the holiday." May '12
"I loved my holiday! It's difficult to say what was best. I loved the bustle of Amalfi and the romance of Ravello. The walking was wonderful. Some times the steps were "not more bloody steps" but it's a way of getting up that terrain and something to brag about later. The scenery was better than I had imagined and the walking day length was good as it gave us time to enjoy and not have to just march on. I liked the idea of walking the medieval route and was not disapointed." Nov '11
"Dear Friends at On Foot - back in London after a spectacular week along the Amalfi Coast. Thanks so much for all you did to make sure we had a super duper time. Everything went like clockwork thanks toy our notes and bookings. We never got lost and were able to swim every single day." Oct '11
"We had a fantastic holiday. Being able to tailor itinarery to our preferences was great, loved having "rest" days to explore, shop, relax, beach or be poolside. The range of accomodation really good. Appreciated all info and support from On Foot" June '11
"I should say at this point that I was extremely impressed with your route descriptions; I found them always to be accurate, informative and concise. When something needed to be said, or pointed out, it was there, but there were no extraneous and confusing details to complicate matters." June '11
"Amalfi is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been too, it was a real adventure getting around and discovering new places and views. Would highly recommend this holiday and On Foot Holidays.......... hope to see you again next year! :0)" May '11
"Very friendly locals, varied walking, felt welcomed in al the bars and restaraunts. We enjoyed the swims, if not the 600 steps back up from Marina Crapolla! Fantastic scenery, good paths. Spaghetti with clams. Picnics with fresh cherries, bread tomatoes and cheese. Pompeii. Taxi transfer worth every penny." May '11
"I had every intention of replying the instant we returned from the beautiful Amalfi coast, glowing with sunshine and happiness. Unfortunately, however, life got in the way so I am sorry for not getting back to you sooner. The holiday was a true success. It was organised at your end to perfection and enjoyed at our end similarly. This is just a quick note to send our preliminary thanks. You were a key player in the joy of our last month and we are very grateful for that. We feel we've had the best start to our marriage and are a little sad that the whole wedding part is over. " Oct '10
"The walks were always interesting in terms of the routes and immediate environment (i.e. not just views, spectacular as they often were), also a feature of your German walk which we took last year. It is good to have lots to observe and think about as one walks, and Julian supplied suitably intricate routes!" Oct '10
"The booklet has a lot of useful information, enough for our purposes. The restaurant advice was useful. We found the da Meme in Amalfi lively, while the L'Abate in Sorrento was excellent. We'll certainly be back to On Foot before too long." Oct '10
"We thoroughly enjoyed the holiday. It had the perfect balance of independence and being looked after. I thought the whole organisation of the hotels/bags was very slick and well organised. It was lovely not having to worry about them at all. I liked all the various walking options, it helped make us not feel guilty for taking a lighter option!" Oct '10
"As to what we liked most where to start?? We love Italy so that was a given - I suppose we would have to say the walking; the Amalfi coast is touristy so having the chance to get away from it all was a real delight, and how else would you have got those views if you hadn't walked up those hills? But actually we loved everything about our holiday, It certainly rates among one of our best holidays and we thank you for your fantastic organisation. We can't think of any improvements necessary but on a personal note we rather regretted not having an extra day after the first 2 days walking for a rest!" Sep '10
"We had a lovely holiday - a bit of feedback as follows: Amalfi hotel was wonderfully situated and very friendly. We did find a great place to eat which we otherwise may not have done at Vivaro wine bar, run single-handedly by one guy who cooks whatever fresh food anyone wants, to a very high standard and at very modest prices. All in all a wonderful holiday though - never been to such a beautiful place." Sep '10
