How much walking

Hours per day: 2-5 hours (more if you want)

Because of the bus system on the peninsula, all days can be shortened or even omitted completely, if you would like a day off walking.

Terrain

Difficulty:  Multigraded (easy-medium - medium)

By avoiding Praiano, an otherwise demanding walk can be brought into the easy-medium bracket, while retaining the excitement of high coastal walking.  Average CUSs per day 300m to 550m. GPS referenced.

Route designed by
Julian Tippett
Julian first stumbled on the medieval footpaths of the costiera on holiday in 1991. Since then, many visits and much exploration have let him 'get under the skin' of the peninsula. He wrote Sunflower's "Landscapes of Sorrento, Amalfi and Capri".
