Route started 2010

"The holiday as a whole was fantastic and very well organised. This is why we always book with On Foot. The Spears Cross B&B was fantastic, I am sure you have had fantastic feedback from there. The breakfast was amazing! Dessert wine in the room and more offered! This will be our fourth On Foot holiday. This year we decided to stay at home. Neither of us had been to North Devon before. We love walking holidays!" Sep '10

"We had a fantastic time on Exmoor. The Saturday especially was fabulous walking - and Sunday was actually marred only by the weather. We liked Friday night's hotel best, and will go back there to try out one of their already 'done up' rooms." Sep '10

"I had no idea that Exmoor was so varied. The moors I knew about, but the delightful wooded valleys were a different issue and for me a revelation. I'm going back for more. Best accommodation was Spears Cross B&B by a long chalk, though we loved also Bev 'n Bob's B&B in Exford. George got into an argument in the pub that night about hunting. Idiot!" May 10

"Thought Agatha Christie had long passed over to the other side, but clearly not at Hunters Inn. What a place, in the lonely wooded valley. Ken and Iris went down to the cove while we played Monopoly in the lounge, because it was raining. I half expected Hercule Poirot to appear at the fireside" June '10

"We had fun tracking the Lorna Doone place names, but thankfully met no highwaymen". Apr '10
