"We very much enjoyed the whole trip and would recommend it to anyone - we had a marvelous time and we wish we were still there!" July '16

"It was more spectacular and isolated than we were expecting so close to Rome, almost wilderness in places. We came across no one else on the walking paths for the first four days!" May '16

"I enjoyed the countryside and the well paced route notes. Excellent food available in several local restaurants especially in Spoleto and Labro. This was my first time in Umbria and I have really fallen in love with the region." April '16

"The terrain was very much as described; extremely varied and interesting with wonderful views. It was delightful to experience so many different types of terrain  and each walk was different to the previous one. We were also very much impressed by the attention to detail and well planned route notes. In all we loved the walking and could have happily continued for another week, visiting the small towns and experiencing the local food." October '15

"Stefano is a tour-de-force! Well chosen walks, lovely locations to visit! We loved the varied scenery and interesting places to visit along the way. Casperia, and le Mole sul Farfa were the highlights for us!" September '15

"The walks were varied with interesting diversions eg. the little chapel of St Francis, the cave chapel, the ruined abbey on the last day...and of course, we also enjoyed the Italian Food!" September '15

"This is an excellent route and great accommodation! We had always liked the sound of the route - and the transition in countryside from Umbria to the Sabine Hills confirmed its excellence." September '15

"Liked best and least?  Best things: the wonderful hosts and various accommodations. Well organised and prepared in advance. Good email communication throughout. Beautiful countryside. Walks of about the right length, with good options for alternative routes. Weather was really too hot, but we spoke about this when I made the booking. " Aug '14

"Really appreciated staying in small residences where you are not just another guest. Locally produced food a real plus.  Walking routes were good with little tarmac.  Notes and information pack well thought out - individual day notes so much more convenient than having the whole lot in one book.  Least liked? Prob the weather as too humid and could have done without the rain. Will never go to Rome again in June - the tourists!! Can't think of any improvements, very impressed with our first trip with you."

"The thing we liked most was the stunning scenery, abundant wildlife (wild boars, cows, goats, pigs, donkeys, horses, chickens, lizards, snakes, butterflies, eagles, swallows) and spring flowers.  The Sabine Hills aren't particularly high but the contours are quite steep making for satisfying short sharp climbs and ever changing vistas.   Also it meant we could enjoy beer and pasta at the end of the day without feeling guilty!" Of OFH service: "Could not be better what ever the issue. Always prompt , friendly and to the point."
"We could not have been more pleased with our vacation. It all went smoothly from the moment I got in touch with you to the moment I said goodbye to Roberta whose place could not be better located." Apr '14
