Walking holidays in Austria
For most people Austria is a country for skiing, the High Tyrol and Vienna, dirndls and lederhosen. On Foot takes a more maverick and accessible approach for our walkers, with a single route in the far west of the country near Lake Constance. This is Austrian Austria – but still with a dirndl or two – and with far fewer tourists, yet with the trademark quiet hills and valleys, complete with herds of cattle for cheesemaking, lonely baroque churches and always the view of the mountains. You arrive up high only in the final two days, for your mountain fix.
