We walked for 7 days from Poblet to Falset staying along the way at Rojals, Prades, Cornudella, La Morera and Gratallops.. The walk was through a variety of landscapes, including beautiful bush, grapevines, hills, river valleys, and including some relatively steep and challenging terrain. Views were fantastic in places. Highlights were the climb up Montsant, the walk from Prades along the Suriana river valley and the climb up to Siurana citadel.

We have been with On Foot holidays before and they are always well organised offering scenic varied routes and interesting places to stay. Would definitely recommend this trip although perhaps a week or two earlier. We knew we were on the cusp when we booked it but it was hot! Europe was in the middle of a heatwave however. We will be going with On Foot again.

We loved the varied walking paths, from a broad track through tall conifers along the River Teign, walking near wild horses while climbing up various unique Tor, riding a short steam train to save a few kilometers, and wandering around Agatha Christie’s residence. The inns and pubs were all friendly and comfortable, with the oldest having been licensed since 1320 AD!. We’d read background information for each days walk, its history and geography the evening before, and always kept to the trail via the excellent and concise written notes, with the gps as a confirming backup. Each day was very unique, and fulfilling both mentally and physically. Upon completion, we always allow ourselves to start talking about our next walk with On Foot Holidays, whether it’s already on the books, or just a daydream. We kid you not.

Over the past five years, my wife and I have completed 20 walks with On Foot Holidays. Their service from the beginning has always been provided with a keen understanding of what our personal needs are for each successful trip. Their website is very easy to view all of their walks, with just the right amount of information and temptation. Communication with their office is always prompt and concise. Their pre-trip packet, all within a personalized App, provides everything needed for a safe and enjoyable walk. A local contact is available for questions such as trail conditions on a rainy day, or help with a taxi to shorten a long walk. We often ask inn keepers how they like working with On Foot Holidays, and they always have high praise for their standards.

We spent just over a week in the eastern foothills of the Picos de Europa, hiking from place to place while our luggage was moved for us. The mid-June landscapes were beautiful, ranging from meadows stuffed with wild flowers and butterflies to bare limestone crags where we spotted an ibex and watched griffon vultures gliding. It was wonderful to be able to explore this quiet, semi-montane area with confidence.

We've used On Foot several times, and their arrangements for us have always worked perfectly. They're friendly and respond quickly to questions, the hike directions are clear, and they are at your back if you have any queries while on holiday. Accommodation is always clean and comfortable, varying from simple to luxurious depending on where you are!

We were a family group of 7 adults hiking from village to village in Northern Portugal near Peneda Geres National Park. On Foot organized a very unique itinerary for us and everything went very smoothly with transportation, baggage, etc. We were defnititely off the usual tourist routes and found beautiful scenery, amazing small hotels, and friendly hosts.

My husband and I spent three wonderful days hiking in Bohemian Paradise in the Czech Republic, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The trail is varied, well planned, and takes you through truly stunning scenery. At the end of each day, we stayed in a lovely B&Bs, each with its own unique character and charm. The tour also included a packed lunch every day, which was convenient and much appreciated. The Czech people are incredibly friendly, and everyone we met at the hotels was welcoming, helpful, and provided excellent service. We would highly recommend this trip to anyone who enjoys walking in beautiful natural surroundings.

Everything was organised in a highly professional yet personal way, which made us feel well looked after throughout the planning process. Whenever we needed information or had to provide details about our trip, the communication was prompt, clear, and reassuring. All the materials, including the app and maps, were sent well in advance, giving us plenty of time to prepare and plan with confidence. We were very impressed with the level of service and would happily travel with On Foot again.

The accommodations were excellent with friendly and helpful staff. Our On Foot local contact kept in touch with lots of encouragement. We enjoyed the trip very mcuh.

We had limited time so we took a shortened version of OnFoot Holidays Northern Portugal route beginning in Brufe and ending in Santa Maria Do Bouro. The route was well-marked, the instructions clear, and the views were outstanding. We appreciated the meticulous attention to detail from the OnFoot staff with lodging, food options and transportation to and from the planned walk. They planned the trip so well that it was highly enjoyable.

I noted some of this above - the tour operator was responsive to questions, and provided timely answers. All aspects of the walk had been attended to - all we needed was to use the information provided and all else was taken care of!

We have just returned from a wonderful walking trip to the Basque Country, starting in the very rural interior and walking down to the coast at Hondarribia and then San Sebastián. For the first few days, walking through incredibly beautiful countryside, we hardly saw a soul and we loved how every day was completely different. While the route was challenging for pensioner knees, the terrain was mainly very good underfoot, so no scrambling, and the views were absolutely worth the effort. We came home with a real sense of achievement and a commitment to tackle one of On Foot’s other Spanish routes.

Having just done our second trip with On Foot Holidays, we honestly can’t rate them highly enough. On Foot has a seriously impressive commitment to customer care and attention to detail and this shows through in every aspect of the holidays that they create. From the time and advice given to us when we were trying to decide which route to choose, to the pre-holiday information and in-country support, we absolutely knew we were in safe hands. On Foot helped us to tailor the trip with a few extra nights in some locations and, as in our previous trip to the Amalfi Coast, all of the accommodation was fantastic - even in the most rural of locations. So nice to be able to hand that over to On Foot completely and just turning up to find your luggage installed in your room. It was also wonderful having the in-country support from On Foot’s local contact who was able to help us with shortening options on a couple of days as well as providing timely advice on places to eat. It was great knowing that there was someone on the end of WhatsApp should we have had any problems along the way. Absolutely brilliant!!
