We chose the 7 night trip with an extra day in Koblenz to finish. The scenery was spectacular, accommodation great in hotels that were all different, some quirky. Walking trails covered a variety of landscapes and gave a sense of achievement at the end of every day. Unexpected moments such as being served Kaffee und Kuchen deep with a forest, and sipping delicious Riesling from a vineyard’s honesty box at the top of a crag; plus delightful towns, friendly people, and good weather meant that This was a wonderful holiday.

We started our holiday with two nights in Porto to give us time to explore the city and to sample a couple of its many great restaurants. We then took a bus and a taxi to the village of Soajo, from where we started our five-day walking holiday, which ended at Santa Maria do Bouro. Each day's walk was varied, but the route always passed through spectacular scenery, at times literally breath-taking on the more challenging uphill sections! The accommodation, food, wine and hospitality were excellent, and all our luggage transfers and other arrangements were organised seamlessly. This is a beautiful and unspoilt part of the world, and the people we met there are clearly deeply proud of their heritage.

I have traveled often with On Foot Holidays, and my trip to the Picos de Europa was wonderful. As a female solo traveler, I enjoyed setting out each morning with my detailed walking notes, my camera and poles, and of course, the OnFoot app on phone, with its unerring GPS route all mapped out. I took advantage of several shortening options, which were simple to set up by texting the local contact, who would arrange a ride for me to a closer starting point. And, if I did make a mistake, the app would give me a couple beeps to alert me, and I was able to correct my course. It's a part of Spain I had not seen before and it was beautiful. I also enjoyed the variety of accommodations along the way, with everything from a simple rural inn to a lavish parador at the end.

The walking was delightful, long days but good paths. The day that we climbed over 1000m most was through beech woods with a clear path and then wonderful views as we walked along the ridge for the next two days. The accommodation was all excellent with huge amounts of delicious food! Our hosts were always extremely welcoming and the On Foot local representative kept in touch throughout the holiday.

We did a walking trip through Cilento, Italy, largely along the coast but with one stretch inland and then added, at the tour operator's suggestion, a day at Paestum, a UNESCO site I think, with three stunning Greek temples and some rather glorious artifacts in the related museum. The walk itself was wonderful, with one beautiful view after another, a varied terrain, a number of points of special interest (historical, mythical, cultural), and then OnFoot's characteristically well-chosen B&Bs or hotels. The trip/walk materials were detailed and perfect so that every connection we made worked easily and smoothly. It was a vacation where you never worried, you just enjoyed every dimension. We had a wonderful walk in Portugal. So little has changed in this part of Portugal that it was like going back in time. The best part was the people. The hosts of our accommodations were so warm and friendly. It was like staying with a favorite grandmother. Go now before too many tourists discover this part of the country.

We hiked 5 days in Cilento National Park. Route directions were clear and accurate. The GPS was great! All accommodations were lovely. All of the additional information, history, recommendations for restaurants etc. were useful.

A self-guided walking holiday in Northern Spain was a wonderful experience. The booking process and support from On Foot Holidays, especially with a local contact in Spain, were outstanding. The accommodations and walking routes were excellent, matching exactly what we had been led to expect. The area was beautiful, with unspoiled rural lifestyles still evident, and the bird watching was of a high standard. The weather was great, making the whole trip fantastic.

We loved our hiking in Andros. The routes instructions were clear and the app made following the trail so simple. The recommendations for dinners and bars along the routes were helpful and welcome. The recommended hotel Anemomiloi Apartments was well located and very comfortable. It was fun to meet other On Foot travelers at the hotel.

We did a 6 day trip walking the mountains in Mallorca. Stunning scenery and the On Foot Travel App was brilliant. Stayed in some beautiful places and really fely as though we saw unspoilt Mallorca.

We booked a hiking trip for our family with On Foot Holidays, the Rhine Valley and Castles of the Rhine. The hiking app is fantastic and we appreciated the additional descriptions and history of the places we visited. We loved the castle stays!

Lovely walking holiday in a beautiful area of Greece. Accommodation was in small, rustic hotels which were simple but clean and comfortable. It was great having our luggage transported and we were provided with clear directions and instructions on the app.

We began our journey in Ripon and ended in Austwick. This was our first hiking trip by ourselves, and the first trip to the UK. We used gps to hide us through the Dales.

Superbly curated walk from Charismatic Hotel to Hotel along the ridge above the Ribeira Sacra . A six night with 5 day walk of moderate difficulty. During this time we saw no other walkers on the trail . The food at every Hotel was epic with different discoveries of local wine that made us feel we were bold gastronomic explorers .Prices were laughably low as well

We both had a great time - the walking, scenery, accommodation and food. We enjoyed the quietness - saw no other walkers for the first four days. Organisationally On Foot were spot on - everything worked really smoothly.

We travelled to Northern Provence in early September , slightly concerned that it would be too hot, but there was plenty of shade on the walks so the heat was ok. The walks are quite strenuous and many of the footpaths are very rocky so not particularly comfortable underfoot. We are in our early 60s and pretty fit but were still challenged at times. The accommodation is largely good with the exception of Les Geraniums in Barroux which is very basic. The Hotel Montmirail was our favourite with excellent dinners on the courtyard in the evening. We were walking during the grape harvest which gave an added interest to the scenery. Overall we would highly recommend it
