Peter and Margaret Creek
Route: Yorkshire Dales

Peter is a keen walker who had a long career in the food industry, but is now retired. He enjoys walking locally with a group of friends, and regularly walks his neighbour’s dog, just for fun! He loves tending his allotment garden and takes great pride in producing a range of organic vegetables every year. Peter also volunteers for the local Good Neighbours scheme, and is chairperson and bookings secretary for the village hall.
Margaret was a teacher of French and German for many years, and then spent her final ten years of employment in a primary school in Skipton. Her life is now busy with walking, singing in a choir and volunteering in local refugee support. She also looks after the garden and loves to visit the RHS gardens at Harlow Carr near Harrogate.
Together the couple enjoy walking holidays in Europe and the UK, and visiting their son who lives in Brussels.
“We consider ourselves very fortunate to have lived and walked in this beautiful area for many years. This Yorkshire Dales route encompasses some of the very best walking in the area, taking in the landscapes of gritstone, limestone, dales, moors and fells, with the opportunity for an ascent of Ingleborough in the final day. We are very happy to be the local contact for On Foot Holidays and look forward to welcoming you to our home turf.”
On Foot Holidays’ route in the Yorkshire Dales was designed by local experts and longtime On Foot clients Shaun and Lynda Callaghan, who looked after our walkers here for several years before handing over to Peter and Margaret.
