Walking holidays in Greece
Greece is the home of the ancients and of the gods, and can rightly be considered the cradle of European civilization.
Our Greek routes fall into two distinct categories, like the country itself – mainland and island. The Vikos Gorge, in the far north-east close to the border with Albania, is the scene of probably the most dramatic of all our walking days throughout our canon of routes. The latest addition in the Peloponnese (Arcadia, no less) follows the Menalon Trail through mountains and wooded valleys, passing ancient monasteries and stone villages. Our two Cycladic Island routes offer a delightful combination of history, grandeur, and sea.
In all cases the cuisine is distinctive, and the landscape unspoiled.
